About the role
Our client, a fast-growing, global engineering solutions company specializing in membrane technology development and innovation, has an immediate need for a Technical Sales Engineer to help reduce energy and water waste in industrial processes and drive real-world impact. This is a fully remote opportunity and can be based anywhere in the Corn Belt region, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, or Nebraska. The ideal candidate will bring an engineering background combined with strong customer-facing and commercial experience, specifically working with ethanol plants or related industrial processing facilities throughout the U.S. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing new business, growing existing accounts, and translating technical solutions into customer value. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the company's global engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver scalable, high-value solutions to customers. You will play a key role in developing and expanding the North American business, building strong customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and helping bring innovative membrane technology solutions to the market.
Requirements:
BS/MS Chemical Engineering required - MBA a plus.5+ years of experience in process engineering, solution development, or technical-commercial roles within industrial, energy, or chemical sectors. Experience with ethanol production processes and membrane science is required.3+ years of experience with process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, ChemCAD, Symmetry, or equivalent)Experience in a Technical Sales Engineering, Applications Engineering, or similar customer-facing technical-commercial role is considered an asset. Experience developing mass and energy balances, utility balances, and process performance models for customer-specific applications. Experience working directly with customers in technical or commercial roles. Experience with brownfield integration, plant modifications, or retrofit projects is an asset. Strategic, results-driven, strong communicator and collaborator, entrepreneurial mindset. Interested candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US. Future Visa sponsorship is not available.
