Security Architect – AI & Emerging Technology Chicago, IL | Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite/Week Contract | Direct ClientWe’re looking for a Security Architect to support AI, cloud, and emerging technology initiatives. This is a hands-on role focused on security design, architecture reviews, and helping teams address security risks.
Must Have:
  • Security Architecture / Security Design experience
  • Strong cybersecurity fundamentals/ understanding of: Identity & Access Management Authentication & Authorization Data Protection & Encryption Cloud & Network SecurityAPI & Application Security Logging, Monitoring & Detection Secrets & Credential Management
  • Experience with Cloud/Azure
  • Ability to evaluate architecture & data-flow diagrams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to independently drive work in an ambiguous environment
Nice to Have:
  • AI/ML, GenAI, LLM or Agentic AI experience
  • Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot or Power Platform
  • AI security: prompt injection, RAG, MCP, AI identities, etc.
  • Threat modeling experience
  • Financial services experience
What You’ll Do:
  • Review solution architectures, data flows & technical designs
  • Identify security risks and translate requirements into practical solutions
  • Develop security architecture, diagrams, patterns & recommendations
  • Perform threat modeling and security design reviews
  • Evaluate IAM, cloud, API, application, network & data security
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture and Cyber teams
