About the role
Vice President, M&APE-Backed Services Platform | Remote
Location: Remote with travel as needed
A rapidly growing, private equity-backed services company is adding a senior M&A professional to its team as it continues an active acquisition strategy. This individual will play a central role in evaluating and executing acquisitions and will have significant ownership over the transaction process. The position offers direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to help shape the company's continued growth through strategic acquisitions. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys analyzing businesses, structuring transactions, managing diligence, and getting deals across the finish line.
What You'll Do:
- Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities and assess strategic and financial fit
- Build and review acquisition models, valuations, and financial analyses
- Analyze historical financial performance and normalize EBITDALead financial and operational diligence on prospective acquisitions
- Manage transactions from LOI through closing
- Work directly with business owners and other transaction stakeholders
- Support negotiation of purchase price and other key transaction terms
- Evaluate deal structures, including rollover equity and holdbacks
- Coordinate legal, accounting, financing, and other outside advisors
- Prepare investment materials and transaction recommendations for senior leadership
- Manage multiple transactions and maintain momentum across the acquisition pipeline
- Partner with finance and operating leadership throughout the transaction process
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or a similar transaction-focused role
- Demonstrated experience executing middle-market transactions
- Hands-on buy-side M&A experience
- Experience managing transactions from LOI through close
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
- Experience analyzing financial statements and normalized EBITDAFamiliarity with transaction structures involving rollover equity, holdbacks, and related purchase terms
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and strong analytical judgment
- Bachelor's degree required
