Location: Alaska Department of Corrections (Primary Needs: Anchorage & Wasilla, AK)
JOB HIGHLIGHTS
Pay Rate: $88.00 / hour
Schedule: 4x10s | Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Enjoy every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off!)
Contract Length: 13-week initial contract (Strong extension potential for 6+ months)
Travel Stipend: Travel package options available for candidates residing 50+ miles from the facility

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide primary comprehensive care to adult incarcerated populations within the facility Perform routine exams, manage acute and chronic conditions, and order/interpret diagnostic tests Operate independently with confidence after completing initial facility orientation Collaborate effectively with on-site healthcare staff, correctional personnel, and security teams
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Certification: Active Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) national certification required.
DEA License: Active, unencumbered DEA certification required. Autonomy: Must be comfortable practicing independently following orientation. STRICT RESTRICTION:Candidates holdingPMHNP certification or psychiatric-focused experience WILL NOT be considered for this position. This role strictly focuses on primary adult/family medical care.
