About the role

Bobcat of Houston - Baytown Technician Bobcat of Houston is a full service Bobcat Dealership. We specialize in new, used, and rental compact excavators, skid steer loaders, and track loaders. We offers parts as well as both mobile and shop service, and a full line of concrete supplies. Due to the increased demand for field service work and customer support in our area, Bobcat of Houston - Baytown is in need of an experienced technician who can perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance at customer job sites. This position is critical to maintaining our service response times and supporting our growing customer base.
Responsibilities: Performing field diagnostics and repairs on Bobcat equipment and related products. Troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, engine, and drivetrain systems. Completing preventive maintenance and inspections at customer locations. Communicating repair findings and recommendations to customers and service management. Maintaining accurate service documentation and work orders.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years working as equipment technician.
  • Be able to work independently of direct supervision in a field environment.
  • Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians.
  • Spanish speaking is valued.
  • A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a field service technician preferred.
  • Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs
  • Clean driving history.
Physical Requirements:
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
  • Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl
  • Exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
