Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High school graduation or equivalency.* 1 year of previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
Work environment* A main requirement of the job is physical labor.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Arizona Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker and HazMat endorsements within 6 months of hire.* One (1) Grade I Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Certification in Wastewater Collection upon hire. Must obtain Grade II ADEQ Certification in the Wastewater Collection within one year of hire.

The Utility System Operator II will be responsible for a variety of duties including lift station operations and maintenance, sewer system inspections, hydro-cleaning, CCTV inspections, manhole inspections, pump maintenance, emergency response, and troubleshooting of wastewater collection system issues.
