About the role

District Armed Safety Specialist Lakeland Joint School District is accepting applications for an Armed District Safety Specialist. Position details include an 8-hour per day schedule, 5 days per week, and 190 days per year. Pay range is to be determined with DOE benefits including PERSI retirement, medical, dental, vision, and sick leave. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a background in law enforcement. Qualifications include a strong law enforcement background, ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, professional demeanor with the ability to remain calm under pressure, and possession of an Enhanced Concealed Weapons Permit. Employment requirements include prior completion of a polygraph examination, psychological evaluation, physical fitness evaluation, and criminal background check.
