Dietetic TechnicianOneida Health Rehabilitation & Extended Care - Oneida, NY 13421 Salary Range $20.00 - $25.40 Hourly Position Type Part Time Job Shift DaysDescriptionAssist the Registered Dietitian by implementing diet orders, interviewing residents, and families for food preferences. Completing risk assessments and attending care plan meetings with residents and familiesDuties and Responsibilities: Able to work independently at the direction of the RD and efficiently to ensure timely assessments are completedAssist RD as directed to complete nutritional assessments and conduct in person interviews with residentUtilize EMR to input new resident information, preferences and diet changesMake changes in meal tracking systems, work closely with dietary teamWork with team to inform them of any nutritional changes or risks that may be needed for optimal careAttend patient care meetings as scheduledAssist RD to identify residents that are high risk for malnutritionAttend morning reports with any nutritional concernsProvide diet education as needed to residents and familiesConduct meal rounds and tray audits for Quality AssuranceExperience with GeriMenu and PCC a plusQualificationsExperience and EducationAssociates Degree in Nutrition or DieteticsExperience working with a Registered DietitianPhysical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of timeAbility to carry, lift, push pull up to 50lbsManual Dexterity and fine motor coordinationVisual AcuityAbility to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
