About the role

Senior Network Engineer Our client is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on Network Engineer to join their growing team. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting network environments across multiple client locations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, wireless networking and network troubleshooting. Experience supporting VoIP technologies is helpful, but deep specialization in voice is not required. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced, client-focused technology environment supporting hospitality and other multi-site organizations.
Primary Responsibilities: Design, configure, implement and support network infrastructure across multiple client environments. Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs and wireless networks. Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, latency, packet loss and equipment issues. Support the implementation and troubleshooting of VoIP and other network-connected technologies. Assist with network security, including firewalls, access controls, segmentation and secure remote connectivity. Work directly with clients and internal technical teams on network implementations, upgrades and troubleshooting. Perform network assessments and recommend improvements to performance, reliability and scalability. Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues. Document network configurations, designs and procedures. Stay current with networking technologies and industry best practices. Participate in an on-call rotation for critical network issues when necessary. Education /
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field preferred. Hands-on experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator or similar infrastructure-focused position. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching and network troubleshooting. Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco or comparable networking technologies. Experience with firewalls, VPNs and network security. Understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF and/or BGP.Experience troubleshooting network performance issues including latency, packet loss and connectivity. Familiarity with wireless networking and multi-site network environments. Exposure to VoIP, SIP, CUCM, IP-PBX or other voice technologies is a plus but not required. Experience working in an MSP, client-facing or multi-site environment is a plus. Strong troubleshooting, communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
