Position Overview:
The Marketing Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for owning client relationships, leading marketing strategy, approving execution, and elevating team performance. This role requires strong decision-making, proactive communication, high-level strategic thinking, and the ability to oversee multi-channel marketing initiatives. This Marketing Manager should be an expert in Social Media. The Marketing Manager serves as the bridge between clients and internal teams — ensuring alignment, accountability, and results.40% – Client Leadership & Communication 30% – Digital Strategy & Campaign Direction 20% – Team Oversight & Training 10% – Cross-Channel Marketing Integration
Primary Responsibilities:
Client Leadership & Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients Respond to client communication in a timely and professional manner Be available when necessary for time-sensitive communication, including occasional after-hours or weekend responses Lead strategy calls, reporting meetings, and campaign alignment conversations Address client concerns proactively and provide solutions before escalation Build trust through clarity, organization, and strategic guidance Strategy & Campaign Direction Lead and develop high-level marketing strategies aligned with client KPIsApprove all content calendars before publishing Ensure campaigns align with larger brand positioning and growth objectives Identify performance gaps and proactively recommend pivots or new initiatives Bring forward opportunities, risks, or concerns before they become issues Set measurable benchmarks for campaigns and oversee optimization Team Leadership, Feedback & Training Direct oversight and provide ongoing feedback to Social Media Specialists and Coordinators Train and onboard new team members Implement continuous training systems to elevate overall team performance Give clear, direct, and constructive feedback on strategy, content, and execution Mentor team members in brand voice, client communication, and marketing fundamentals Address performance issues directly and escalate concerns to leadership when necessary to ensure standards are consistently met On-Site Direction & Shoot Oversight Attend content shoots as needed Provide on-site creative and strategic direction Give immediate, actionable feedback to Coordinators and Specialists Ensure shot lists align with strategic objectives Elevate production quality and execution standards Content Creation & Creative Oversight Actively create content when needed, including filming, directing, and refining short-form video content. Develop high-level campaign concepts and translate them into executable content plans. Review and approve shot lists prior to shoots Attend shoots and provide on-site strategic and creative direction. Give real-time feedback to Coordinators and Specialists to elevate quality Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, positioning, and platform best practices. Write and refine high-performing hooks, captions, and on-screen messaging Identify trends and determine if/how they strategically align with client objectives Maintain a high standard of creative execution across all brands Step in to support content production during high-volume periods or key launches Cross-Channel Marketing Oversight Support strategy across all marketing channels including: Paid media Social media Influencer campaigns Email/newsletters Content creation Ensure messaging consistency across platforms Identify opportunities to integrate campaigns across multiple channels Collaborate with paid media and creative teams to optimize results Measures of Success Client Success Clients feel confident in communication and strategic direction Minimal reactive problem-solving due to proactive managementKPIs trend upward consistently Strong client retention and satisfaction Strategic Leadership Content calendars require minimal revisions Campaigns launch on time and align with brand goals Manager proactively identifies issues and opportunities Multi-channel strategies are cohesive and growth-focused Team Performance Team members feel guided, trained, and supported Execution quality improves over time Clear communication and reduced confusion internally Deadlines are consistently met Personality Traits Strategic thinker with strong business instincts Proactive and solutions-oriented Direct communicator Highly organized and detail-focused Comfortable holding others accountable Thrives in fast-paced environments Strong sense of ownership Brings concerns forward instead of letting them sit
