About the role

Admin: Executive + Personal Assistant to the CEO Opal· [Los Angeles / Orange County] · In person · $75–90K + benefits Opal issues credit cards for ad spend. Agencies and brands run millions in Meta and Google budgets through us. We're seed stage, growing fast, and I'm drowning in admin. I need one person who makes the company and my life run smoothly, so I can spend my time selling, raising, and building. This is not a "manage the calendar and answer the phone" job. You'll own real things: payroll, HR paperwork, vendors, software, investor reporting, and my personal logistics. If something small needs to happen and nobody owns it, it's yours. What you'll own People + HRRun payroll, benefits, and severance Handle hiring and offboarding paperwork: offer letters, NDAs, confidentiality and non-disparagement agreements Track referral payouts, both employee and partner, and make sure people get paid on time MoneyCollect receipts. Every one, every month. Send invoices when we owe someone one, and forward bills to bill-pay Work with Pav to track every tool we pay for and how many seats we\'re using. Cut what we don't need. Prepare investor reports Company ops Manage software access and permissions: onboarding, offboarding, who has what Keep Google Drive clean. If I can't find something in 10 seconds, it's in the wrong place. Write and maintain our SOPs and documentation, and make sure people actually follow them Run the office: snacks, internet, supplies, whatever's broken MeManage my calendar and email Book travel, hotels, and dinners Handle personal appointments, prescriptions, and refills Manage the cleaners for the office and my home Everything else The small, one-off tasks that don't fit anywhere. Figure them out and close them without me having to follow up. You're a fit ifYou've been an EA, PA, or office manager at a startup or for a founder, and you liked the chaos You're the most organized person you know, and your friends make fun of you for itYou're discreet. You'll see salaries, contracts, and my personal life. You close loops. When you say it's done, it's done. You figure things out. "I didn't know how" isn't an answer; "I figured it out, here's what I did" is. You're nice. Genuinely. You'll be the first person candidates, vendors, and investors deal with. Warmth matters here. You're not a fit ifYou need a detailed playbook for everything You want a remote or hybrid role. We're in person, and we work hard. Personal assistant work feels beneath you. It's a real part of this job. Why this role You'll work directly with the CEO and see how a fintech gets built from the inside Your job grows as the company does. Great admins here become ops leads. You'll have real ownership from week one

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
