About the role

Accessories Installation SpecialistAMPORTS is a leading provider of port-based automotive and logistics services supporting customers across the United States. The Finance team supports accurate, timely financial processing and reporting at corporate and facility levels, enabling operational continuity and strong internal controls. Summary/Objective Install accessories on new vehicles.
Essential Functions: Perform quality installations of automotive accessories on OEM manufacturer vehicles. Install accessories including roof rack systems, trailer hitches, wireless charge pads, front and rear park assists, interior illumination kits, exterior body kits, illuminated scuff plates, frameless mirror links, upgraded fog light systems, body decals, rear bumper guards, spoilers and any new accessories put into production. Remove wrap guard and interior plastics. Use hand and air tools to install small and large accessories. Complete Pre-Delivery Inspections for the OEM Manufacturers rental fleet as well as campaign initiatives that require parts replacement or reflash of ECU software. Meet the time requirements of each accessory installation per OEM manufacturer guidelines. Adhere to the OEM manufactures Quality Control guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment: Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production Letting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.
Physical Demands: Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items. Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime. TravelThis position does not have any travel requirements.
Required Education and Experience: No prior experience or training.
Preferred Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Operations: Basic personal computer skills.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
  • This is a non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $19.00 per hour.
  • Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Card)
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
