About the role

How to Apply: Apply through LinkedIn and to get ahead email Attach two things to your email: a presentation you built (any subject, PDF is fine) and one piece of design work in Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva. We won't review applications without samples. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. About Superior Sports Superior Sports is a basketball agency representing players in the NBA, in international leagues, and in college NIL. Our Founder and Managing Partner, Mitchell August, is an NBPA Certified and FIBA Licensed agent. We work with players from the recruiting process through their professional careers, in the U.S. and overseas.
About the role: Our marketing partnerships team finds and closes brand deals for our players and builds the materials that get those deals done: player one-sheets, brand pitch decks, NIL proposals, and recruiting presentations for players and their families. You will spend as much time in Photoshop, Canva and PowerPoint as you will in a spreadsheet. We are looking for someone who can take a player's stats, photos and story and turn them into a presentation a brand or a family will actually read. You report to our marketing lead and work directly with our agents. The role is remote.
What you'll do:
  • Build player pitch decks, one-sheets and NIL proposals in PowerPoint, Keynote, Canva and the Adobe suite, on Superior's brand templates
  • Design the graphics inside those decks: headshot cutouts, stat tables, comparison slides, social mockups, sponsor placements
  • Research brands that fit each player (category, budget, past athlete deals) and build target lists with contacts
  • Draft first-touch outreach to brand and agency contacts for an agent to send
  • Track every open conversation in our CRM and keep the partnership pipeline current
  • Pull social, engagement and audience data for players and package it for brand conversations
  • Support deal execution: deliverable calendars, content approvals, proof of performance reports
What we're looking for:
  • Real ability in Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva, and in PowerPoint or Keynote. You will be asked to show work, not describe it
  • Experience putting together presentations from scratch: structure, story, layout and finish, not only the graphics
  • Comfort with numbers: reading a stat line, a follower report or a rate card and turning it into a slide
  • Clean, direct writing for outreach emails and deck copy
  • Interest in sports marketing, NIL and the business of basketball
  • Self-direction and attention to detail. Our decks go to brands, families and college programs Preferred, not required
  • A portfolio of decks, one-sheets or brand proposals you built (school projects count)
  • Experience with Adobe Express, Figma, After Effects or CapCut
  • Prior work with an agency, brand, athletic department, collective or college sports marketing office
  • Coursework in marketing, communications, design or sports management Details
  • Unpaid internship with academic credit available (subject to your school's approval)
  • Commission on brand deals you source that close
  • 10 to 15 hours per week, flexible schedule
  • Immediate start, flexible term
  • Remote
  • Open to U.S.-based applicants only
  • Interns do not contact players, families or coaches on Superior's behalf; brand outreach goes out under an agent's name
  • A confidentiality and work product agreement is required What you'll get
  • A portfolio of real pitch decks and brand proposals with Superior's name on them
  • Direct exposure to how NIL and endorsement deals are priced, pitched and closed
  • Mentorship and a reference for agency, brand and sports marketing roles

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
