Senior Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Network Engineer Bloom Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Network Engineer to support Network Modernization for Navy Enterprise Networks (NEN).This is a primarily remote position with approximately 25% travel to customer and Government locations, including Hawaii, Washington, DC, San Diego, CA, and Norfolk, VA.

Travel: Approximately 25%What You'll DoAs a senior member of Bloom's Network Modernization team, you will design, engineer, deploy, optimize, and provide Tier 4 support for Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN across a large-scale, mission-critical enterprise WAN.
Key responsibilities include: Design, engineer, deploy, migrate, and lifecycle-manage Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN solutions supporting the Department of the Navy. Develop scalable SD-WAN overlay architectures, WAN transport strategies, routing policies, segmentation, application-aware routing, and high-availability designs. Integrate SD-WAN with enterprise routing, security, cloud connectivity, legacy MPLS, and diverse WAN transports. Develop standardized and automated configurations using Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager. Provide advanced Tier 4 engineering support and serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex SD-WAN issues. Diagnose and resolve control-plane, data-plane, routing, transport, and application-performance issues. Support Tier 1–3 engineers through technical guidance, troubleshooting, documentation, standards, and knowledge transfer. Collaborate with Government and contractor engineering teams to improve network reliability, resiliency, security, and operational performance.
What We're Looking For: 6+ years of enterprise networking experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN engineering and administration in production environments. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field. Equivalent military or professional experience may be substituted. Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN architecture, including: Catalyst SD-WAN Manager, Controller, Validator, and SD-WAN Edge/cEdgeOMP, BFD, IPsec tunnels and TLOCsCentralized and localized policies Templates, feature templates, and configuration groups Application-Aware Routing (AAR)Advanced experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRFs, route redistribution, QoS, NAT/PAT, IPsec, high availability, and WAN underlay/overlay troubleshooting. Active Secret Security Clearance. Ability to travel approximately 25%.
Preferred Experience: Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: DoD or Federal Government enterprise WAN environments. Large-scale, geographically distributed networks. Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN integrated with MPLS, DIA/Internet, LTE/5G, broadband, cloud connectivity, and other underlay transports. Enterprise segmentation and Zero Trust architectures. Network automation and migration from legacy WAN technologies.
Work Environment: This position is primarily remote and supports mission-critical Department of Defense enterprise network operations across geographically distributed locations. Travel is required to support engineering, deployments, implementation, troubleshooting, and other mission requirements. Occasional after-hours support may be required for maintenance windows, deployments, incident response, or other operational requirements.
