As we continue to aggressively scale our US business, we are hiring a Learning & Development Consultant to drive recruiter performance, productivity, and revenue growth across our American offices.This is a front-line, commercially focused role for someone who truly understands how recruitment desks perform. You will be the face of Learning & Development in the US, responsible for accelerating ramp-up, increasing billings capability, and embedding consistent, high-impact sales behaviours. Working closely with our UK-based L&D team, you will own the day-to-day development of US recruiters and directly influence business results.Whether you come from a recruitment training background or are a top-performing recruiter who has moved into L&D, this role offers the opportunity to directly shape sales performance and long-term growth across the US business.The OpportunityAs Learning & Development Consultant, your primary focus will be driving commercial outcomes. You will lead the delivery of recruiter development programmes that shorten time to first fee, improve conversion rates, and build confident, high-billing consultants.You will partner closely with managers and directors to diagnose performance gaps, reinforce winning behaviours, and turn training into on-desk execution. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role combining sales training, 1:1 desk coaching, and continuous performance optimisation.What You'll Be DoingLead the delivery of New Starter and Experienced Consultant programmes across US offices, with a clear focus on revenue impactCoach recruiters 1:1 at desk to improve BD activity, call quality, deal execution, and fee generationDeliver high-energy workshops focused on sales fundamentals, business development strategy, candidate control, and offer managementPartner with managers and directors to identify performance gaps and drive measurable improvementsOwn utilisation and productivity targets through effective training, coaching, and programme executionDesign and evolve sales-focused training materials, tools, and frameworks that translate directly to on-desk resultsTrack engagement, performance progression, and behavioural adoption to support retention and sustained billing growthWork closely with the Head of L&D and UK team to ensure global best practice while adapting delivery to the US marketSupport ad hoc commercial and performance-led initiatives across the businessWho We're Looking ForStrong commercial understanding of recruitment, ideally within a specialist agency environmentProven experience training recruiters, or a background as a high-performing recruiter with strong coaching capabilityIdeally 3–4 years' experience as a successful 360 recruiter with consistent billing performanceConfident, credible, and engaging when delivering training to high-performing sales professionalsHighly commercial, with the ability to turn theory into measurable sales behavioursStrong stakeholder management skills, able to challenge and influence at all levelsSelf-directed, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-focused environmentA clear track record of accelerating ramp-up, increasing confidence, and improving recruiter performanceWhy Join Harnham?Take ownership of Learning & Development for a high-growth US recruitment businessDirectly influence sales performance, productivity, and revenue outcomesWork alongside a proven, high-performing UK L&D functionHigh visibility and strong partnership with senior leadershipShape and scale a performance-driven recruitment culture across the USPlease NoteOur Internal Recruitment team may post multiple adverts for this position across different locations or platforms.
