AP Staff Accountant
LHH Recruitment is working with a growing and well-established company in Scottsdale. This company is seeking an experienced AP Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who has progressed beyond high-volume transactional accounts payable and has hands-on experience supporting the month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting. The salary range is between $65,000-$80,000, fully onsite.

Responsibilities
Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing
Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable and general accounting
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
Analyze AP aging, accruals, and expense accounts to ensure accuracy
Maintain the general ledger and support financial reporting processes
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Collaborate with departments across the organization to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate financial reporting
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
3+ years of accounting experience with strong accounts payable responsibilities
Experience beyond transactional AP, including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and general ledger support
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas
Experience working in an ERP system such as Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
