Title: Chief Technology Officer
Reports To: Chief information Officer Position Objective The Chief Technology Officer provides strategic leadership for the organization’s technology infrastructure, partnering closely with the CIO to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable systems. This role supports operational excellence, drives innovation, and promotes outstanding customer service in alignment with the organization’s Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
Essential Job Duties: Serve as a strategic partner to the CIO and operational leaders to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals Develop and execute the IT infrastructure strategy to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient technology services. Assess organizational skill gaps and plan for future talent needs based on business strategy. Oversee enterprise infrastructure operations, including data centers, networks, cloud platforms, servers, storage, backups, and end‑user computing. Support IT security and compliance efforts by ensuring infrastructure practices meet regulatory and cybersecurity standards. Drive technology innovation, including adoption of AI and emerging tools that improve performance and efficiency. Manage vendor and partner relationships to optimize service quality, costs, and long‑term value. Lead and develop the IT infrastructure leadership team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring responsible resource allocation and measurable ROI.Oversee incident and problem management, ensuring rapid response, minimal downtime, and strong business continuity. Collaborate across IT and business units to deliver seamless, integrated technology experiences. Model Service Excellence by maintaining a professional image and delivering exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or related field (required).Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, including 5 years progressive leadership role. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL); Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); Azure Solutions Architect, or related certifications. Strong technical background in enterprise infrastructure, networking, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), cybersecurity, and disaster recovery. Proven experience leading large teams and complex initiatives. Project management skills with large‑scale system implementation experience. Customer‑focused, adaptable, and able to lead through change. Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Physical Demands: Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and use a computer effectively. On‑call availability 24/7/365 for critical infrastructure issues. In-person, in-office, 5 days/week Ability to troubleshoot systems and go to the source of the issue quickly within AAMC and at DCMCAbility to travel, including occasional overnight stays
