About the role
Cashier Position Receives and pays out money and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.
Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
Enters customer's transactions into their teller software to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts if applicable.
Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds if applicable.
Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer in accordance with policies and procedures and compares totaled amounts with data provided in teller software.
Assists with balancing the vault(s), coin machine, TCR/TCD, and ATM if needed.
Scans and processes "work" prior to the end of the business day.
Completes all required Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).Removes deposits from the night depository, counts and balances cash in, and receipts each deposit.
Accepts and applies loan payments.
Receives and completes transfers on credit card advances.
Other duties may be assigned.
