Project Manager – Utility Scale Solar & BESS (On-Site)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the construction and execution of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This is a full-time, site-based role responsible for managing project safety, schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships from notice to proceed through commissioning and turnover.
Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day site operations for utility-scale Solar & BESS projects.
Manage subcontractors, field teams, and project staff.
Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
Track project costs, schedule, procurement, and progress reporting.
Coordinate with owners, engineers, utilities, and AHJs.
Identify and mitigate project risks while resolving field issues.
Oversee commissioning, punch list, and project closeout activities.
Qualifications:
5+ years of project management experience in utility-scale solar, BESS, or electrical construction.
Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through commissioning.
Strong understanding of EPC construction, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, or similar).Ability to travel or relocate to project sites as needed.
PreferredPMP certification.
Experience with high-voltage substations, transmission, or interconnection work.
OSHA 30 certification.
