Job Description: SUMMARY: The 2nd shift Bindery Supervisor is under the direct supervision of the Bindery Manager. You have direct supervision over all Bindery personnel and equipment. He/she is responsible for assigning personnel in accordance with the schedule and ensuring work during production is performed in conformance to job specifications and quality standards. Wage Range:$57K - $62K/year depending on experience.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: ON THE A-TEAM: Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety-conscious behavior. Monitor Bindery Department production. Maintain the highest level of quality, consistent with the standards of Arandell Corporation. Follow all plant and OSHA procedures including performing all duties safely and in accordance with all work and safety rules and established work and industry practices. Provide guidance/compliance with employees relative to the general plant and safety rules. Be involved with personnel development including morale, training, corrective action, and employee evaluations. Interact and communicates with all other support departments including press, premedia, logistics and supply, sales and marketing, customer relations, finance, billing/estimating, procurement, and human resources on issues affecting customer expectations, Production efforts, and employees. Report production information/problems to the Bindery Manager Monitor all mailing information including trailer schedules, ensuring the accuracy of data, and expected deadlines are maintained. Administer and coordinate employee response procedures; follow up on employee injuries occurring on their shift, insuring that proper medical attention is sought and the appropriate medical facility is utilized. Consult with Human Resources Department on all hiring, terminations, or discipline of department employees. Maintain a high level of confidentiality on all matters involving the Arandell Corporation. Maintain positive customer relations approach towards visitors, customers, and employees. Proactively protects our community and reduces our footprint on our environment by keeping a focus on continually improving our products and environmental programs. Perform all special duties as assigned by management.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred. Seeking three (3) years of supervisory experience running a bindery department in the printing industry. Previous experience in a union facility is a plus. Demonstrated results-driven leadership skills. Knowledge of marketing-class mail is a plus.
