About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technology Architect – Healthcare EDI with 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise EDI integrations, preferably within the healthcare payer domain. Must-Have Skills EDIFECS Java Azure Functions Azure Logic Apps and Integration Accounts EDI mapping, transformation, and validation Healthcare EDI/HIPAA transactions REST API development Strong integration architecture experience
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and support EDI integrations using Microsoft Azure services. Develop and maintain Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Integration Accounts. Design and develop applications and integrations using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs. Work with EDIFECS for EDI processing, mapping, transformation, validation, and troubleshooting. Implement and support HIPAA EDI transactions, including: 278 – Healthcare Services Review 834 – Benefit Enrollment and Maintenance 837 – Healthcare Claims 270/271 – Eligibility Inquiry and Response Handle EDI mapping, transformation, validation, and error management. Configure and manage Trading Partner Agreements (TPAs). Implement and support communication protocols including AS2, SFTP, FTP, and HTTPS. Monitor EDI workflows and proactively troubleshoot failures, performance issues, and integration errors. Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and other technology groups to deliver reliable integration solutions. Ensure integration solutions follow security, compliance, scalability, and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications: 10+ years of overall IT experience. Strong hands-on experience with EDIFECS. Strong Java development experience. Hands-on experience with Azure Functions and Azure Integration Services. Experience with Azure Logic Apps and Integration Accounts. Strong knowledge of EDI architecture, mapping, transformation, and validation. Experience with HIPAA healthcare EDI transactions. Experience developing REST APIs. Strong troubleshooting and production-support skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with business, QA, infrastructure, and technology teams.
