Healthcare Sales Representative Location: Los Angeles, CA Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive base salary + commission opportunity Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Healthcare Sales Representative to expand access to a patient-centered healthcare program designed to help frail seniors age independently and with dignity in their own homes. This role is ideal for a healthcare-focused sales professional with experience in senior care, post-acute care, managed care, or community-based healthcare services. The successful candidate will develop strong relationships with healthcare professionals, community organizations, government entities, and other referral sources while educating them about comprehensive senior care services. This is a field-based sales position where the community serves as your office. The representative will manage an assigned territory, cultivate referral relationships, generate qualified leads, and drive participant enrollment. Key Responsibilities Business-to-Business Sales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and execute a sales strategy for an assigned territory.Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, healthcare facilities, senior living communities, government organizations, faith-based groups, and community resources.Prospect and identify new referral and account opportunities through research, networking, cold calling, community outreach, and face-to-face meetings.Educate referral partners about available senior healthcare services and their benefits.Increase referral volume through strategic account management, consistent follow-up, and relationship development.Conduct effective presentations and educational sessions for referral sources.Meet or exceed monthly enrollment goals, with a target of 6-8 enrollments per month after the initial ramp-up period.Generate approximately 2 self-sourced leads per day, with a target conversion rate of at least 35% to qualified referrals.Complete approximately 25 sales call attempts per week, including at least 10 meaningful contacts that result in actionable next steps.Individual Participant QualificationConduct presentations and provide education to prospective participants and their families.Follow up on qualified leads received from internal and external sources.Identify individuals who may qualify for healthcare services through Medicaid, Medicare, dual-eligible, VA, or private-pay programs.Understand individual needs and connect prospective participants with appropriate services.Use active listening and empathy to understand customer needs and effectively communicate the value of available healthcare programs.Guide qualified prospects through the referral and enrollment process.CRM & Sales DocumentationMaintain accurate and timely records of sales activities, prospects, referrals, presentations, and enrollments in the CRM system.Manage referral accounts and prospect pipelines through telephone outreach, email, networking, face-to-face meetings, and community engagement.Document all meaningful interactions, follow-up activities, outcomes, and next steps in real time.Monitor territory performance and maintain an organized pipeline of qualified opportunities.Provide regular reports on sales activity, enrollment performance, and goal attainment to sales leadership.Community Outreach & EducationRepresent the organization professionally throughout the assigned territory.Participate in community events and networking opportunities to expand awareness and generate referrals.Help develop and deliver educational programs for referral sources, prospective participants, and internal teams.Develop a strong understanding of the senior healthcare landscape and community resources.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from referral through enrollment.QualificationsPrevious healthcare sales, business development, outreach, or account management experience preferred.Experience in post-acute care, senior healthcare, managed care, home health, hospice, skilled nursing, healthcare services, or related industries strongly preferred.Proven ability to develop and maintain professional referral relationships.Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales and enrollment goals.Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.Strong organizational and territory-management skills.Ability to prospect for new business and develop relationships from the ground up.Strong active listening and customer-focused communication skills.Comfortable using CRM systems to document sales activities and manage a pipeline.Ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals, seniors, families, community organizations, and government entities.Strong understanding of the healthcare environment and the needs of older adults is highly desirable.What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a driven healthcare sales professional who combines strong relationship-building skills with a genuine passion for helping seniors access quality care.
