Caring Hands Home Health is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and strengthen our HR function as our organization continues to grow. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, performance management, compliance, leave administration, retention, HR systems, and workforce planning. The HR Manager will partner with leadership and department managers to ensure Caring Hands has the people, policies, processes, and HR infrastructure necessary to support our employees, clients, and continued growth.
Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day HR operations and ensure consistent HR practices across the organization. Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning for field and administrative positions. Manage and support Talent Acquisition staff and monitor recruiting effectiveness. Maintain compliant personnel records, credentials, employment documentation, policies, and employee acknowledgments. Oversee employee benefits, including enrollment, eligibility, open enrollment, retirement plans, and coordination with benefit vendors. Administer PTO and applicable leave programs, including FMLA, ADA/accommodation processes, and workers' compensation coordination. Manage employee relations, workplace investigations, complaints, attendance concerns, policy violations, and other employment matters. Guide managers through coaching, corrective action, performance improvement, documentation, and termination processes. Develop and maintain effective performance management processes. Monitor employee turnover, retention, absenteeism, and other workforce trends and recommend improvements. Conduct or oversee exit interviews and identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and retention. Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, job descriptions, and HR workflows. Maximize the use of Paylocity and other HR technology to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary manual processes. Track and report HR metrics such as turnover, vacancies, time-to-fill, new-hire retention, compliance, and workforce trends. Support leadership with organizational structure, compensation, employee development, and succession planning.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field preferred.3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with responsibility across multiple HR functions. HR leadership or management experience preferred. Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and employment compliance. Working knowledge of federal and North Carolina employment requirements. HRIS experience required; Paylocity experience preferred. Healthcare, home care, senior care, or other high-volume workforce experience preferred. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or similar certification preferred.
