Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job will supervise the production environment and staff, coordinating efforts with the Maintenance and Quality Control departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. Develop mastery of daily operational policies and procedures on the production floor to leadteam.a. Oversee the staging of raw materials for production, (forklift certification and trainingdesirable)b. Monitor proper inspection and packing of containers for release to finished goodsc. Direct work flow and document changes in production, including lot number and workorder changes to ensure quality and meet timetablesd. Responsible to meet production quality and productivity goalse. Lead and direct personnel in daily and periodic sanitation policies and proceduresf. Demonstrate safety in all aspects of job 2. Develop working knowledge of Quality Controla. Develop full understanding of measurable testing for meeting product specificationsb. Understand basic documentation requirements to meet corrective action and defectivereturn evaluation.c. Assist staff in resolving complex problems or issues beyond the scope of standardprocedures in situations where marginal product is being produced 3. Develop a solid foundation of mechanical and operational knowledge with production equipment.a. Monitor production processes on blow mold machines to maintain product specificationsb. Ability to troubleshoot minor issues with auxiliary equipment to keep production linesrunning efficientlyc. Develop ability to stop, start and run in a project in the absence of maintenance staffd. Understand mechanical operation of equipment to the extent that the supervisor mayassist in troubleshooting quality and operational issues as they arise in productione. Manage the use of auxiliary production equipment and facility resources for the mostefficient use of utilities 4. Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and proceduresa. Work with Human Resources to conduct interviews, hire new staff, train and evaluateeach employee on the supervisor’s teamb. Coach, motivate, develop and retain a qualified production teamc. Conduct employee performance reviews establishing employee goals and expectationsd. Coordinate team meetings and training sessionse. Responsible for staff work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee breaks, overtime assignments and back-up for absent employeesf. Provide accurate and timely documentation on employees, incidents, safety and sanitationas required
Food Safety Responsibilities:
Train and supervise employees to:1. Handle bottles in such a way as to avoid inserting fingers inside bottles 2. Ensure packaging materials never come in contact with the floor 3. Ensure bottles are sealed in packaging in a quick and efficient manner to minimize exposure toambient air and the possibility of contamination 4. Ensure pallets are stretch-wrapped so there are no gaps from the pallet to the top slip sheet

Safety and Security—Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafeconditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Education and/or Experience• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.• Manufacturing background desirable, but not mandatory.• Management experience or demonstration of leadership capabilities required. Language Skills• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.• Ability to write simple correspondence.• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to otheremployees of the organization
