We are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead all human resources functions in our growing, fast-paced operation.
Position Summary:
Reporting to ownership, the HR Manager oversees all HR functions across field, production, and office teams. This role blends strategic planning with day-to-day execution in a production-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing Manage full-cycle hiring and onboarding Partner with leadership on workforce planning and headcount Track hiring metrics and improve recruitment strategies Employee Relations & Performance Handle employee concerns, investigations, and conflict resolution Coach supervisors on performance management and accountability Lead disciplinary processes and promote a professional team culture Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws Manage leaves (FMLA, NYPFL, ADA), workers’ comp, and safety programs Maintain audit-ready records, I-9s, and training compliance Training & Development Coordinate onboarding and ongoing training Identify skill gaps and support cross-training initiatives Business Growth & Scaling Support Help support company growth through effective workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies. Build scalable HR processes that can support growth across field, production, sales, and office teams. Identify gaps in staffing, training, accountability, and communication as the company expands. Develop consistent systems for hiring, onboarding, performance management, documentation, and employee development. Support the creation of career paths and internal growth opportunities to improve retention. Payroll, Benefits & Reporting Support payroll and benefits administration Manage benefits programs and assist with open enrollment Track and report HR metrics (headcount, turnover, compliance)Operations Support Maintain a visible presence on the production floor Address scheduling, attendance, and workforce challenges Align staffing with operational needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)5+ years of HR experience, ideally in production, logistics, or service environments Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance Experience managing hourly workforcesHR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred Bilingual - fluent in both Spanish and English
