About the role
Job Overview:
We are hiring a Store Expansion Manager / Senior Manager to own the full 0-to-1 launch of large-format retail stores. You will manage the entire store development lifecycle, from market & trade area analysis, site selection, lease negotiation, all the way through construction, regulatory approvals, inspections and pre-opening readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze market and trade area, source and evaluate potential store locations
- Lead lease negotiation, property due diligence, zoning and entitlement review
- Oversee design, construction, permit applications, fire inspection and building inspection
- Secure Certificate of Occupancy, business license, signage permit and other local mandatory licenses
- Coordinate facility, IT, security and internal teams for site fit-out
- Conduct final inspection and ensure full pre-opening readiness for on-time store launch
Requirements:
- Hands-on 0-to-1 end-to-end opening experience for large-scale retail / big-box supermarket stores
- In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate leasing, property DD, construction and local regulatory permitting process
- Strong project management, cross-stakeholder coordination and negotiation skills
- Ability to independently drive the whole store development project
