About the role
US-based | Remote | Business Development / Sales Company Description Storytailors is an international company providing local production services in 150+ countries. We help producers, agencies and media teams execute shoots internationally as a one-stop-shop for local crews, equipment, locations, permits, logistics and production management. When a client needs to shoot in Nairobi, Hanoi or Bogotá, we're who they call. Our teams helped produce content used by Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC, Discovery and other leading international brands and broadcasters. Role Develop new business with US advertising agencies, production companies, brands, studios and media companies. Build and manage your own pipeline through your existing network, targeted outreach, referrals and industry events. Introduce Storytailors to Executive Producers, Agency Producers, Heads of Production, Creative Producers and other production decision-makers. Identify upcoming international shoots where Storytailors can become the local or global production partner. Lead client conversations from initial introduction through brief, pitch, bid and close. Who We're Looking For You probably have 10+ years of experience in advertising, commercial production, film/TV production, branded content or media services, with meaningful exposure to business development or client relationships. Most importantly, you understand how production work is awarded and already have relationships within the US production and advertising ecosystem. You may currently be an Executive Producer, Business Development Director, Sales Director, Account Director, Agency Producer, Commercial Producer or Client Partner. You should be comfortable initiating conversations rather than waiting for inbound leads, discussing briefs and budgets with senior producers, pitching production services, negotiating opportunities and maintaining a disciplined sales pipeline. An existing network of production companies, advertising agencies, agency producers, executive producers and/or brands is a major advantage. Compensation The role combines a monthly retainer plus uncapped commission on business generated. We are open to structuring the package around the right senior candidate and their network.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
