- Abide by all existing safety and work rules.
- Review preceding shift operations, problems, status, orders, special instructions, etc.... with preceding coater helper.
- Review coating schedule and ensure accurate footage is run for all products.
- Ensure correct film, adhesive, run conditions, web path, etc.
- Check solids of adhesive being used at beginning of shift and on each additional batch prior to using, adjust if necessary.
- Check film for corona treatment before mounting to determine correct loading of film.
- Visually inspect material for film and/or coating defects.
- Report all defects to supervisor.
- Check coating weights as required.
- Make pre-mix if necessary.
- Accurately measure and/or add catalyst.
- Prepare for changeovers in advance to minimize downtime.
- Complete all paperwork as required.
- Review shift operations, problems, status, orders, special instructions, etc. with oncoming operator.
- Maintain equipment as necessary, report any damage or mechanical issues to supervisor.
- Empty trash containers at the end of shift.
- Inform supervisor of any inability to complete the assigned order.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment/area.
- Assist other plant employees as necessary.
- Follow all "coater operator" work instructions.
- Perform any and all activities as required or requested by management.
- Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Manufacturing or Quality environment preferred.
