Seasonal Tailor Generation Tux is looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Seasonal Tailor to join our alterations team this season! Our team plays an important role in making sure every garment meets the high-quality standards we're known for.
This position focuses on simple tailoring tasks such as pant hems, small garment repairs, and telescopic jacket sleeve adjustments.
What You'll Do:
Measure garments accurately to meet required lengths
Label customer garments and record alteration needs
Use sewing machines to adjust pant hems and jacket hems
Adjust telescopic sleeves on jackets for proper fit
Replace buttons, mend pockets, linings, and perform small repairs
Use irons and pressing equipment to remove creases from garments
Ensure sewing machines and equipment are kept in good working order
Complete other tasks as assigned by management
What We're Looking For:
Patience, attention to detail, and pride in your work
Good hand-eye coordination
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Comfortable sitting or standing throughout the workday
Sewing experience preferred, but not requiredwe will train the right person!
