About the role
To support a growing client base, the fully remote Professional Services Controller will manage the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring they transition smoothly to their ongoing delivery teams while establishing a solid financial and operational foundation.
Key responsibilities
Own the client relationship during the onboarding phase, leading kickoff meetings and maintaining momentum through regular check-ins
Conduct financial assessments, identify cleanup needs, and ensure clients are operationally ready for ongoing service
Document client-specific processes and prepare comprehensive handoff documentation for the ongoing team
Required qualifications
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or Client Accounting Services
Proven success with client onboarding and accounting process transformation
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent experience
Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency with QuickBooks
Experience with professional service business models and project accounting
