About the role
Associate Director of HR Operations The Associate Director of HR Operations will lead the day-to-day delivery and continued development of HR operations across the organization. This role will oversee core employee processes, operational support, service delivery, compliance, reporting, and process improvement while helping ensure a consistent experience for employees and managers. The position will work closely with HR and business teams to support the effective administration of HR programs and processes across a global workforce. The Associate Director will help establish efficient ways of working, maintain appropriate operational standards and controls, and identify opportunities to improve how HR services are delivered. The role will also lead the HR Operations team and support the continued development of scalable practices that meet evolving organizational needs. Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Arrangement: Hybrid Base Salary: $160k - $190kKey Responsibilities:Lead HR Operations and oversee the consistent and effective delivery of HR services across a global employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, employee changes, transfers, promotions, leaves, organizational updates, immigration support, case management, terminations, and offboarding. Support accurate and consistent processing and documentation of employee information and employment-related transactions. Develop and maintain processes, procedures, documentation, and service standards that support effective HR opportunities to improve workflows, simplify processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen overall service delivery. Establish clear responsibilities, handoffs, service expectations, and escalation processes across HR operational activities. Provide support and guidance on complex or sensitive HR operational matters and coordinate resolution with appropriate stakeholders. Partner with HR teams to support the implementation and ongoing administration of programs, policies, and with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and other functions on employee-related activities and changes. Identify operational risks, process gaps, and control needs and implement appropriate improvements. Maintain effective operational practices and controls that support compliance with organizational policies and applicable requirements. Promote consistent administration of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices. Support audit activities and maintain appropriate records and documentation related to HR maintain accurate employee information and effective data management practices. Identify opportunities to improve the way employees and managers access and interact with HR services. Maintain HR resources and materials that help employees and managers understand and navigate HR processes. Use employee and manager feedback to identify opportunities to improve HR services and operational practices. Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and other business functions to support effective HR HR and business needs into practical processes and operational solutions. Support the operational execution of broader HR initiatives and organizational changes. Coordinate activities across functions and ensure responsibilities and expectations are clearly defined. Manage external vendors and service providers supporting HR and maintain reporting and metrics that provide visibility into HR operational performance. Monitor service delivery, employee activity, case volume, turnaround times, and other relevant operational measures. Establish and monitor service expectations to support consistent and effective HR delivery. Use data, trends, and feedback to evaluate performance and identify risks and improvement opportunities. Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, consistency, scalability, service quality, and the employee and manager experience. Lead and develop the HR Operations team, including establishing priorities, responsibilities, and performance team resources and coverage are appropriately aligned with operational needs. Build team capabilities through coaching, training, cross-training, knowledge sharing, and professional development. Promote accountability, collaboration, strong service, operational discipline, and continuous improvement within the team. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.8+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations, People Operations, HR Shared Services, or a related HR function. Experience supporting HR operations within a global leading and developing HR Operations or related teams. Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes, HR operations, service delivery, compliance, data management, and operational controls. Experience managing employee processes such as onboarding, employee changes, organizational updates, case management, terminations, and offboarding. Working knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, compliance requirements, and related operational developing and maintaining HR processes, procedures, documentation, and service standards. Demonstrated experience improving HR operations, processes, and service delivery. Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and build effective relationships across HR and other business functions. Experience using metrics and service measures to evaluate HR operational performance. Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a changing environment. Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and sound judgment. Experience with centralized HR Operations, shared services, or similar service delivery models preferred. Experience with HR case management or knowledge management practices preferred. Experience with HR reporting, analytics, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making preferred. Experience supporting organizational growth, change, or evolving HR operations preferred. Experience working within a complex or highly regulated organization preferred. Advanced Human Resources certification preferred.
