About the role
- Prepare pre-screens for new CRE transactions by analyzing property financials, sponsor financials, business plans, and market data
- Assist in sizing and structuring new transactions and complex refinancings
- Draft term sheets and support Relationship Managers throughout deal negotiations
- Review appraisals and other due diligence reports and identify potential issues or concerns
- Prepare and assist with credit applications and transaction analysis
- Coordinate with Credit Underwriters and Credit Officers to facilitate client credit needs
- Work with third-party consultants, attorneys, and other vendors throughout the transaction process
- Assist with loan closings and facilitate the flow of legal documentation
- Attend property inspections and client meetings alongside Relationship Managers
- Support origination pipeline management, portfolio reporting, activity reports, and relationship plans
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Commercial Real Estate finance experience
- Strong CRE underwriting, financial analysis, and financial modeling skills
- Understanding of CRE lending, transaction structuring, and the credit process
- Strong quantitative, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Experience with hospitality and residential condominium projects is a plus
- Ground-up construction lending experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
