About the role
- Diagnose and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and other electronics.
- Test computer hardware and identify defective components.
- Replace or repair components such as RAM, hard drives/SSDs, batteries, and other parts.
- Install and configure operating systems and drivers.
- Prepare computers for resale.
- Perform basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Test computers thoroughly before they are listed for sale.
- Follow company procedures for Windows installation and equipment testing.
- Properly document problems and repair results.
- E-Commerce & Product Listings:
- Photograph electronics for online listings.
- Create accurate and detailed product descriptions.
- Research product specifications and model information.
- List products accurately on online marketplaces.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Package and prepare sold items for shipping.
- Retail / Donations:
- Assist customers with unloading electronics and computer-related items.
- Maintain an organized and clean retail area.
- Assist with receiving, sorting, testing, pricing, and displaying merchandise.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Electronics Recycling:
- Sort electronics for resale, refurbishment, parts, or recycling.
- Identify equipment that has resale or refurbishment potential.
- Properly handle recyclable electronics.
- Follow company procedures for data-bearing equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading electronics when needed.
