Gas Station ClerkJob Summary: We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Gas Station Clerk to join our ARCO team in Boyle Heights. The ideal candidate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations.
Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner Operate cash register, handle cash and credit card transactions Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, and fuel area Stock shelves, refill coolers, and face merchandise regularly Monitor and report any equipment or maintenance issues Ensure compliance with safety and store policies Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries Check and replenish cleaning supplies and restocking needs Help prevent theft and report suspicious activity Maintain accurate shift paperwork, including cash handling and fuel readings Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior retail or gas station experience is a plus but not required Strong communication and customer service skills Basic math skills and attention to detail Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Work Environment: Fast-paced, customer-facing environment Exposure to outdoor elements while working around gas pumps Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Why Join Us?
