About Us: Skold Specialty Contracting is part of the Skold Companies family and delivers high-performance architectural and specialty door systems across the Midwest. Our work includes coiling fire doors, rolling grilles, operable partitions, sound-control assemblies, high-speed performance doors, dock systems, wire mesh partitions, and industrial and hangar door systems.
Role Summary: As a Commercial Door Technician, you will install, service, and maintain specialty commercial door and partition systems while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
What You'll Do: Install, service, and maintain architectural and industrial door systems and operable walls Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control-system components Complete work documentation and communicate with project teams Follow all Skold safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
Job Requirements: Perform tasks involving physical labor at project sites Follow safety rules and regulations established by Skold and maintain a safe and clean environment Other duties as assigned Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen Able to work in all elements of the outdoor environment which include the heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, etc. Able to access all areas of the jobsite, which include stairs, scaffolding, ladders, elevation changes, etc. Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the job and have reliable means of transportation Must be willing to work out of town with expenses paid as needed Must live within driving distance of our office.
