About the role
Retail Assistant We're looking for a friendly, reliable Retail Assistant to support food preparation and service for patients, staff, and visitors. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and take pride in cleanliness and quality, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and respond to their needs efficiently
- Prepare and serve food items according to menu selections and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including equipment and floors
- Follow safe food handling and infection control procedures
- Practice portion control and minimize waste to support financial performance
- Comply with health regulations and departmental policies (HACCP, TJC, etc.)
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Customer service experience in a team setting preferred
Skills:
- Ability to follow instructions and perform basic math
- Comfortable weighing and measuring ingredients
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 30 lbs)
- Ability to concentrate on tasks and remember multiple responsibilities
- Exposure to temperature fluctuations and cleaning chemicals
