About the role
Facilities & Operations Manager We are seeking a hands-on, organized Facilities & Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, appearance, and day-to-day operational readiness of multiple facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems are safe, functional, clean, and well maintained. The right person will be comfortable managing maintenance priorities, coordinating vendors and contractors, supporting site leadership, and stepping in when needed.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day facilities and maintenance operations across multiple locations Manage preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and facility improvement needs Coordinate and supervise outside vendors, contractors, and service providers Conduct routine facility inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed Support licensing, safety, and compliance inspection requirements Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, security, lighting, and general building systems Manage landscaping, snow removal, parking areas, walkways, play areas, and exterior property conditions Ensure cleaning and facility standards are consistently maintained Prioritize and track maintenance requests from site leadership and staff Maintain facility records, service schedules, warranties, and vendor information Support budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and repair-versus-replacement decisions Respond to urgent facility or building-related issues as needed Qualifications 5+ years of experience in facilities, building operations, maintenance, property management, construction, or a related field Previous supervisory or management experience preferred Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems Experience managing contractors and vendors Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to urgent needs Strong communication and follow-through Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations Ability to meet required background screening requirements
Ideal Candidate:
This position is best suited for someone who understands how buildings work, can identify problems before they become larger issues, and knows when to handle something internally versus bringing in a licensed professional. The role is less about personally completing every repair and more about owning the facilities function from start to finish.
