Position Type: Full-Time
Pay: $22.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experienceA long-standing asphalt construction company is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join its Denver team. The ideal candidate for this position must have minimum 6 months experience operating asphalt milling machines, rollers, skid steers, pavers, and other equipment used on paving and milling projects.
Primary Duties: Safely operate and maintain asphalt construction equipment. Inspect equipment and report mechanical problems. Follow daily production plans and supervisor instructions. Communicate effectively with operators, drivers, laborers, and contractors. Assist with equipment setup, site cleanup, traffic control, and general labor as needed. Participate in safety meetings and follow all company and job-site safety procedures. Travel to job sites and stay away from home when projects require it.
Qualifications: At least one year of heavy-equipment operating experience. 6 months asphalt milling, paving, roller, and or skid-steer experience. Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively as part of a crew. Ability to travel to assigned job sites is required.
