Position- Electrical Engineer – Hydro Plants
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA
Work Schedule: Onsite, 5 days/week
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineerto support modifications, upgrades, and engineering projects for existing hydroelectric generating plants. The ideal candidate will have s trong hydroelectric industry experience and knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards.
Responsibilities:
Develop and modify electrical engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and technical deliverables.
Support modifications and upgrades to existing hydroelectric generating plants.
Perform complex engineering analysis and provide technical recommendations.
Apply applicable engineering codes, standards, and project requirements.
Coordinate with internal and external engineering teams.
Review engineering work and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Support project schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineeringfrom an accredited program.
5+ years of experience in hydroelectric/hydro plant engineering.
Familiarity withNFPA 70 (NEC)and the California Electrical Code.
Experience with Bluebeam.
Knowledge ofSKM or ETAPis a plus.
PE License preferred.
Strong engineering analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to workonsite 5 days/week in Rancho Cordova, CA.
