About the role

Account Executives sell LTL and TL transportation services, along with other services including warehousing and storage. They develop relationships built on trust to solicit and acquire new sales, increase sales volume, and maintain existing accounts within an assigned region. The ideal candidate will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers. This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face.
Responsibilities: Increase sales volume by acquiring new accounts and selling additional services to current customers Establish professional working relationships with customers, managers, co-workers, and drivers Provide weekly sales updates at sales meetings Travel daily to meet with prospects and/or current customers Perform cold calls and calls by appointment Determine customers’ needs by gathering information needed to prepare rate quotes Maintain records of contacts with prospects and current customers Complete sales reporting to include customer profiles, sales reports, itineraries, mileage reports, and expense reports Entertain customers, as needed Make collection calls for assigned past due accounts Complete applicable paperwork in a manner consistent with established company guidelines Ensure customer satisfaction through follow-up conversations Utilize company software for various sales functions
Qualifications: Previous account management experience - 2+ years Articulate and well accustomed to a client facing role Willingness and ability to travel Strong sales and negotiation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
