About the role

We’re seeking to connect a Director of Data & AI with a leading company in the architecture, engineering, and professional services field on a full-time basis. The role is remote with approximately 25% travel, including travel to Middleton, Wisconsin. As Director of Data & AI, you will have the opportunity to join a collaborative, people-focused organization and leverage your expertise in enterprise data strategy, analytics, artificial intelligence, and technology leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a growing Data & AI team while establishing strategic roadmaps and organizational capabilities. Advance enterprise data governance, data quality, analytics, and modern data-platform practices. Partner with executive and business leaders to identify, prioritize, and measure high-value AI opportunities. Drive responsible adoption of generative and agentic AI technologies and translate experimentation into tangible business outcomes. Build organizational capabilities through coaching, upskilling, reskilling, strategic hiring, and external partnerships. Promote a collaborative, empathetic, and people-centered leadership culture while connecting technology investments to business strategy.
Qualifications: Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience across data, analytics, artificial intelligence, technology, and/or technical leadership. Demonstrated experience leading and developing technical teams in a collaborative environment. Strong knowledge of enterprise data strategy, governance, data quality, and modern analytics platforms. Experience with the Microsoft data ecosystem, including Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.Practical experience with generative AI, LLMs, and agentic AI, including developing or deploying AI agents and measuring business outcomes. Bachelor’s degree required; AEC or professional services experience is preferred.
