Director, Total Rewards - ChainalysisPosition OverviewThe Director, Total Rewards will lead the development and implementation of innovative compensation and benefits strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent across our global footprint. This role will be based in the US.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipReview, refine, and execute a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy aligned with our business objectives in the rapidly evolving Web3 industryPartner with leadership to ensure compensation and benefits programs support business growth while maintaining competitive market positionDrive data-informed decision-making through market analysis and industry benchmarkingCompensation ManagementOwn all compensation programs globally, including salary structures, global job architecture, annual incentive plans, and merit, bonus, and equity processesLead the assessment, refinement, and ongoing maturation of global job architecture and leveling frameworks, including addressing legacy inconsistencies and role evolutionDevelop and maintain sophisticated market pricing methodologies that reflect the unique dynamics of our industryEnsure pay equity and transparency across all locations, promoting our commitment to fairness and inclusionOversee executive compensation programs and effectively manage Compensation Committee meetings in partnership with Legal and Head of PeopleServe as a strategic advisor to Revenue Operations and Sales Leadership on the design, governance, and evolution of global Sales Compensation plansBenefits & WellbeingDesign and implement compelling benefits strategies that enhance employee wellbeing and reflect our company valuesManage vendor relationships, including global and in-country brokers, for all company-sponsored benefit plans globally, including health and welfare plans, retirement/401k/pension, and others; proactively address visible gaps and issues within our benefits processes with internal and external stakeholders and collaboratorsDesign and deploy appropriate time off and leave policies and other ancillary benefits or perks aligned with our benefits strategies as we matureEnsure regulatory compliance across all global jurisdictions where we operatePartner and collaborate across the people functions to implement and administer employee programsBusiness PartnershipCollaborate with HR Partners, Talent Acquisition, Revenue Operations, and business leaders on compensation frameworks and day to day matters across the organizationBuild and deliver effective training and communications to ensure leaders and employees understand and value our total rewards offeringsDevelop relationships and other mechanisms for gathering feedback and continuously improving our approachesTeam LeadershipLead by example and continue the development of a small team of compensation and benefits professionalsFoster a business-centered approach that balances flexibility and agility with consistent principlesContribute to the culture and leadership of the broader People teamQualificationsExperience10+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, with at least 5 years in leadership rolesProven track record developing and implementing global compensation and benefits strategiesExperience managing executive compensation programs and supporting compensation committeesDemonstrated ability to build and scale programs in high-growth, ambiguous and agile environmentsInternational benefits experience across multiple countries/regionsKnowledge & SkillsDeep understanding of global compensation practices, job architecture, and salary structuresStrong financial acumen and analytical skills for budgeting and forecastingKnowledge of regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictionsExperience with equity compensation programs and incentive plan designExcellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiencesPersonal AttributesStrategic thinker with strong business acumenPractical problem-solver who can balance rigor with pragmatismApproachable leadership style that builds trust with stakeholders at all levelsData-driven decision maker who values transparency and fairnessAdaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, evolving industryWe encourage applicants across any race, ethnicity, gender/gender expression, age, spirituality, ability, experience and more.
