About the role
Job TitleJob Description Leads on a regular and recurring basis, leading and mentoring three or more permanent and temporary employees to achieve materials handling operations. Provides training and certify assigned employees in the safe operation of mechanized equipment, various forklifts and other material handling devices. Ensures that all items, including hazardous materials, are properly marked, tagged/labeled and in properly marked containers. Ensures needed plans, material, and tools are available, including obtaining needed stock from supply locations. Uses automated material identification equipment such as bar code wands, computer terminals, and laser scanners. Performs work according to instructions, time schedules, safety requirements, and standards of the occupation. Selects designated items for storage, build and assemble kits for storage and shipment per National standards or specifications.
