Location Overview: The Glenmore Distillery has been a fixture in the Owensboro Community since the late 1800s. During Prohibition, The Glenmore Distillery was fortunate enough to be one of four distilleries in the country allowed to operate on a limited scale for medicinal necessity. In March of 2009 the Sazerac Company purchased the distillery and reprised the name The Glenmore Distillery. The distillery boasts one of the largest and most modern bottling facilities in the country and continues to be a sizable employer in the city of Owensboro, KY.The Sazerac Company's vision is to become one of the industry's most desired places to be. Responsibilities: At The Glenmore Distillery, we're always looking for skilled and motivated Production Team Members to join our team. Even if we don't have an immediate opening, we want to hear from you! This posting is part of our evergreen pipeline — a proactive way to connect with top talent for upcoming roles. When a matching position opens, candidates from this talent pool will be the first to be reviewed and contacted.
Primary responsibilities include: (however may not be limited to):Assembling bottle components by hand: applying labels, inserting caps or corks, or placing bottles into cases Material handling: loading bottles onto a production line, removing dunnage, or stacking cases onto a pallet Operating bottling equipment through tooling adjustments, feeding components into magazines/hoppers, troubleshooting equipment errors, and monitoring production efficiencies Inspecting bottle quality and repairing incorrect production Maintaining a clean an organized work environment through routine sanitation efforts. Physical requirements may include (however may not be limited to):Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs Pushing, pulling and/or climbing Continuous standing and/or walking Working in areas that are not temperature-controlled.
