Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in logistics, freight coordination, or a related field. Familiarity with full container load (FCL) shipping processes and terminology. Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Experience working in ocean freight or international shipping environments. Knowledge of customs regulations and import/export compliance. Ability to speak Spanish or other languages relevant to the shipping industry. Certification in logistics or freight forwarding (e.g., Certified Logistics Associate or similar).
Responsibilities: Coordinate and schedule full container load (FCL) shipments, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery. Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customers to confirm shipment details and resolve any logistical issues. Prepare, review, and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs paperwork. Track shipments throughout the transportation cycle and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, operations, and customer service to optimize shipment flow and address any discrepancies. Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation regulations and company policies. Identify and escalate potential delays or problems to management promptly. Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and carrier performance for reporting and analysis.
