About the role

Floater Service Technician – Commercial Cleaning (Sani & Scrub) Enviro-Master of Chicagoland
About the Role: Enviro-Master of Chicagoland is hiring dependable, hardworking technicians to help keep local businesses clean, sanitary, and welcoming. We are recruiting for both restroom sanitation (Sani) and deep-cleaning (Scrub) assignments. Depending on your skills, availability, and business needs, you may work primarily in one service area or train to support both. As a Floater Service Technician, you will cover routes, assist with cleaning projects, and fill in when teammates are absent. This is active, hands-on work at customer locations throughout Chicagoland.
What You'll Do: Sani services:
  • Clean and sanitize commercial restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, and other surfaces; replenish supplies as assigned.
  • Scrub services:
  • Perform detailed cleaning of floors, tile, grout, restrooms, and other assigned areas using professional cleaning tools and equipment.
  • Cover assigned routes and support teammates on larger cleaning projects.
  • Follow service instructions, safety procedures, and proper chemical-handling practices.
  • Arrive on time, complete assigned work, and maintain consistent service quality.
  • Treat customers, their employees, and their property with respect.
  • Report service issues, supply needs, equipment problems, and customer concerns promptly.
  • Record completed work and communicate with the operations team using company apps.
  • Keep equipment, supplies, and your work area clean and organized.
What We're Looking For: Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Attention to detail and pride in doing a job well. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and accept feedback. Professional appearance and respectful customer communication. Flexibility to work at different locations and cover changing assignments. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to assigned locations. Ability to use a smartphone for schedules, timekeeping, and communication. Ability to perform active cleaning work, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and moving supplies or equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation. Commercial cleaning, janitorial, floor-care, maintenance, or route-service experience is helpful. We also welcome applicants with a dependable work history who are ready to learn.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
