Commercial Mechanical Estimator

What You Will Do: Prepare Sheet Metal, Plumbing, HVAC piping, and Process Piping estimates Lead the mechanical portion of estimates and ensure that scopes are coordinated and complete Solicit subcontractors during the bidding process and organize information post-bid for future reference Review and understand narratives, plans and specifications to ensure alignment between pricing and the scope of work Communicate with project leads to clarify scope of work, materials, and schedule requirements Develop and maintain relationships with internal clients and subcontractors/vendors Prepare scopes of work for subcontractors and suppliers and coordinate scopes of work across disciplines Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current information on prices from suppliers Supports other department personnel as required Maintain library of project job costs for use in future project estimates Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction Attend pre-bid meetings and/or tour job sites to confirm requisite take-offs What We Expect 3-5+ years Commercial Mechanical estimating experience Proficiency reading blueprints, specifications, and mechanical details. Trimble Auto Bid experience a plus.
