About the role
Studio Starr is looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and passionate Dance Teachers to join our teaching staff!
We are looking for someone who loves working with children and teens; believes that dance is about more than just learning steps; and who is passionate about sharing their love of dance!
What You'll Do:
Teach engaging, age-appropriate dance classes in a positive and encouraging environment
Create a dance-room atmosphere where every dancer feels welcomed, supported, and valued
Teach proper technique while making classes fun, energetic, and developmentally appropriate
Choreograph routines for classes and prepare dancers for performances and recitals
Maintain a structured, organized, and positive dance-room
Communicate professionally and respectfully with students and the Studio Starr staff
Serve as a positive role model both inside and outside the dance-room
Help foster the supportive, family-oriented culture that makes Studio Starr so special
Dance Styles
Experience teaching one or more of the following is a plus:
Ballet Tap Jazz Lyrical Contemporary Hip Hop Musical Theater Pom
Experience working with dancers ranging from preschool through teen levels is preferred.

Comfortable teaching and demonstrating
Knowledgeable about proper dance techniques and age-appropriate instruction
Creative and confident with choreographyA strong communicator
Comfortable working as part of a team
Committed to helping every dancer grow—not only as a dancer, but as a person
Teaching experience is preferred, but we are also open to experienced dancers who have a strong desire to grow as educators.
