Job Description:
Job Description The Environmental Health Safety Specialist plays a critical role within the Internal Team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This position involves both developing new safety initiatives and maintaining existing programs to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safe workplace. Frequent travel to multiple sites is required to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training, supporting the organization's commitment to environmental health and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential safety and environmental hazards
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Deliver safety training programs to employees across multiple sites
- Perform environmental monitoring and prepare detailed reports
- Coordinate internal and external safety audits
- Identify hazards and recommend mitigation strategies
Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental health and safety
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field
- Experience with environmental compliance and risk assessment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulatory standards
- Proven ability to deliver effective safety training
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
