PLEASE NOTE: THAT THIS IS A PART-TIME CONTRACT POSITION FOR 30 HOURS/WEEK. ALL WORK IS ON SITE. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION We are hiring part-time Video Analysts in Houston, Texas, to review and annotate recorded footage to produce the data used to train and test video analytic systems. Training is provided and paid. Prior video annotation experience is not required.
What you will do: Review recorded footage and record what you observe, following a written rubric Flag when the footage does not support a conclusion. An honest "I can't tell" is the correct answer when you are not sure. Work independently of other analysts. Assignments still under review are not discussed between analysts. Read the daily briefing before each session, and complete short paid trainings when the standard is updated Raise unclear cases and problems promptly to supervisory staff, in person, in writing, and on conference calls. Footage types and review rubrics vary by project. Training is provided and paid for each different project.
What we are looking for: Ability to learn quickly and follow quality standards and directions Accuracy and consistency in detailed, repetitive review work Willingness to apply a written rubric exactly, including where you privately disagree, while raising the disagreement through the proper channel Written English sufficient to apply a detailed rubric that is revised periodically Strong written and verbal communication skills. You will write notes other people rely on, and you will be expected to say clearly when something is not working as expected or more information is needed to complete your analysis. Preferred One year or more of professional video monitoring or surveillance review experience: central monitoring station, dispatch, loss prevention, gaming, campus, healthcare or facility security Experience reviewing footage for investigations, incident reports or insurance claims Prior annotation or quality assurance experience
